Falken Tyre Pro – History
The Japanese brand Falken has stood out in the market as soon as it released its first tire, in 1983. The young manufacturer attacked the market with great boldness, manufacturing a tire that combines modern design and potential for very efficient and aggressive driving.
Falken Tire considers itself a nonconformist. The company maintains an in-house advertising department, as well as its own motorsports teams. The teams compete in the American Le Mans Series, Professional Drifting, and American Motorcycle Association Supercross events. Falken is the tire in a number of categories, including performance, luxury sport, year round, off-road, winter and premium touring. Origins of Falken Tire
Falken Tire was founded in Japan in 1983. It is a subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries and started out as the flagship high-performance radial tire brand under the Ohtsu Tire and Rubber umbrella. Falken is now an independent tire brand.
Falken Tire began exporting its tires internationally in 1985. In 1990, the Falken Tire Corporation was founded in the US to strengthen the company’s position in the North American market. The American company is based in Fontana, California, which also serves as the Falken West Coast distribution center. Other distribution centers are in Tennessee, New Jersey, and Texas.
Falken sponsors various racing teams to assist in product development and increase brand exposure. The company began competing in ALMS in 2008, but instead began competing in Drift Racing in 2003, and they entered AMA Supercross races in 2011 by sponsoring Monster Energy AMA Supercross Ryan Villopoto racer.
Falken Tire’s focus is on ultra-high-performance products, but they offer a growing line of passenger car tires. Falken tires manufacturers of automobiles, trucks, SUVs, trucks, buses and for use on competitive track.
